As mentioned in the previous post our team attended UK's finest LAN this weekend.
Team Sypher got seeded fifth and we can safely say that the team confirmed that they were worth to have this position.

After a struggling beginning, as Dan "Saltman" Salt couldn't attend the event on time due to some problems at work, we had to start off with only 4 players. If that wasn't already a punch in the face, the first team we had to face was noone less then Evil Geniuses.

Now this 4 man line-up wasn't something that was going to demotivate our guys and thus they tried to make the best out of it untill Saltman arrived to strengthen the team.

As you can see we didnt really get to play to our full potential during the first match in the first upper bracket round. We solved this quite good in the lower bracket but unfortunately concentration couldn't stay at 100% and Infused appeared to be stronger in the lower bracket final. Despite this we can still be happy with this nice fourth place !

This weekend our Call of Duty 4 team is attending UK's largest LAN. It's already the 35th edition of this nice event, and it will also be the last one for this year.

You might remember our players being present at the last edition back this summer playing under the name of "Vivid". It's also then we started conversations with them and they managed to grab a 7th-8th spot while many top teams attended. This edition will be less overcrowded by the European top. It's also one of the last events for Call of Duty 4 this year as it appears that the community will be moving the the newly released Call of Duty 5: World at War.

Now the biggest names in the UK are present and they'll be fighting for the €6,000 Call of Duty 4 tournament money.
Favourites are surely Evil Geniuses and Dignitas.

Match week 3 is now live and Sypher will take the kick-off against The Last Resort tonight.

After largely winning our first game against violent desire two weeks ago, our team has a lot of confidence in tonight's match, on sunday we will also be playing against Four Kings as it has been rescheduled from last week.

As you probably noticed, the team sypher website has been off-line a lot lately. Almost 3 weeks long we had to face surprising downtimes without us being able to do anything about it. We knew where the source could be found but the guy where we rented a private web server couldn't be contacted. Phone calls never got responded and any kind of mail traffic just ended up in dead ends. So we can assume this person is dead by now (R.I.P if so, and good luck to the family).

Now time for some good news ! We decided to acquire our own Dedicated web server, and this one will be located in the well known datacenter of EvoSwitch (Netherlands). (This information might be use full, for potential Team Sypher haters who would love to sabotage us !!!!)

Now this being said we can from now on assure a 99% Uptime of all our services. At the moment all datbase restoring is being done so it's possible that short-time problems may occur. If you notice a small bug or anything relevant to us, feel free to contact someone from the management on IRC.

Now during these three weeks we haven't stand still. We can now say that we have some great things to be announced soon.

Call of Duty 4 Team News

- ESL.uk Pro Series: We won the first game and this sunday we have to face Made In Drabble - Clanbase Eurocup: First game against zeroHero 13-11. Next up Sunday against Reason-Gaming. - Insidae Cup II Lost in Quarter finals against Fnatic with 11-13 & 02-13. This time won't be able to defend last edition's title.

Counter-Strike:Souce Team News

- After a quite unlucky FOM 10.1, the team will have some line-up changes. Kam Tom "Lai" Lai & Gill "splasH" De Smedt will go inactive. Bob "KSerox" D'hondt & Lucas "Tru3" Esprit will replace them. - The team is attending the Second season of the Benelux Pro Series. - In the Clanbase EuroCup they lost the first game against a tough Reason Gaming, but winning the next two group matches is surely possible. - In EnemyDown Eurokrieg they are out after losing in the upperbrackets against Logitech

Last week we could see how the first three teams qualified for this first upcoming season of the well known concept of the ESL Pro Series. Back then Team Dignitas Lunacy & Phantasmagoria took the spots. A second qualifier was announced for last Wednesday but it got postponed due to Champions League.

Finally today the second qualifier went live and team Sypher participated.
After 3 bracket matches an admin's comment stated the following: "Its not necessary to play this round all teams which reaches this were automatic qualified for the UK EPS Call of Duty Season 1"
Although we were already sure of our final spot and of winning it.

Each game of today's matches went to plan as we won 3/3 games that we needed to qualify, We haven't been very active this week as it was benzo's first week of university, But next week we will begin to play a lot more as a team and start practicing for upcoming cups, leagues and lans
