It’s this weekend that The Party 8 takes place in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

What is The Party?

A typical Dutch LAN where it’s not only about competition. After being the host of 7 previous editions, once more the event will take place in the ‘beursgebouw’ @ Eindhoven. Each year they’re aiming for more and so this edition features seats for over 1000 participants. This makes them the biggest lan of the Netherlands and maybe the Benelux if they have to fight with Frag-O-Matic in Belgium. One of the pro’s of this lan it’s that you’re in the pretty center of Eindhoven with everything easily accessible for those who don’t want to stay 24/7 in this dark building. Next to this the event features side-activities such as a console corner and shoot-out’s.

Even more important for this event, is that we’ll see the new sypher line-up making it’s first LAN appearance this year. After 3 months of hard preparation and a consistent but still relaxed training schedule they should be ready for this challenge in facing what the Benelux 1.6 scene has to offer.

Being a big underdog for this event when we have a look at some forum speculations, it only seems that we’ll have to upset some people by just destroying them on LAN to show that Sypher.CS is still around. Therefore it’s with the greatest confidence that we aim to end high on this event but there will be a big challenge for sure. With series  of great online pracc performances and beating all attending teams, we hope to do it twice and take our title as the best CS 1.6 team of the Benelux, and 100% Walloon!

The team will be travelling up to Eindhoven with Sypher’s Team Manager Geoffrey ‘fwiet’ De Bie who will help them out in order for the players to have a relaxed weekend with just one thing in mind. “A ticket to dreamhack”.
